Here are some simple jumping loops and exercises to work on jumping and coordination:
1: This exercise includes an oxer, (see Types of Jumps), but this can be swapped for a different type of jump. The exercise can be ridden both ways and looped.
2: Exercise 2 is a simple figure 8 loop with jumps in the middle. It can be adjusted to you and your horse’s level by spreading out the jumps/ bringing the jumps closer.
3: This uses a barrel which can substituted with a pole, a jump or not used. This loop works on turning corners, simulating a longer jumping course. Again, the jumps and obstacle can be spread further or brought closer.
4: This loop is a form of Figure 8, looping both ways around the middle jump. The middle jump can be substituted for a one-stride bounce.
